Welcome to the Blue Room! (36-48 months)

The Blue Room is a place of constant activity. The 3 year olds are energetic and eager. Their attention span is increasing. The blue room starts to focus strongly on academic skills, however the skills are presented in game form. They problem solve with puzzles, manipulatives, blocks, and games. As they start to prepare to write, their fine motor coordination is improved with water, sand and art play. The children are becoming more and more coordinated in this room and have time for gross motor skills everyday, weather permitting outside. Verbal skills are fostered with circle time, stories, songs and finger plays. While in this room your three year old will be encouraged to participate in a variety of activities as he/she explores their environment.
